About Mantaray Film

Mantaray Film’s productions have been screened and awarded at leading film festivals, including Cannes, Berlinale, and Sundance. With international successes such as The Most Beautiful Boy in the World, Ingrid Bergman – In Her Own Words, and But Film Is My Mistress, the company produces complex, character-driven documentary films with a strong visual language and unique access.

We continuously work with directors such as Stig Björkman, Kristian Petri/Kristina Lindström, Theresa Traore Dahlberg and Maryam Ebrahimi. Our films range from deeply personal stories told from an inside perspective to strong directorial POVs and visually stunning cinematography. We have invested in the accounts of women, both in front of and behind the camera, and are today one of the foremost documentary production companies in Europe.

Mantaray Film also runs its own distribution company, and regularly co-produce international films. Our titles are developed and produced with support from Creative Europe Media, IDF Enterprise, ARTE, and we have won prizes and honorary mentions such as Prix Europa, Prix Italia, The Golden Eye/Cannes.
